MMW part ways with vocalist Ben Timpson

MY MINDS WEAPON are sad to announce the departure of vocalist and founding member, Ben Timpson.

Ben helped form the band way back in 2003 and was a driving and creative force throughout his tenure with My Minds Weapon, acheiving critical success with their debut album 'The Carrion Sky'.

Weapon sign with Drakkar / SonyBMG in Europe

BASICK RECORDS are stoked to announce that MY MINDS WEAPON have signed to Germany's DRAKKAR ENTERTAINMENT for release throughout Europe !

In a developing licensing deal between Basick an Drakkar the band will see thier debut album 'The Carrion Sky' released throughout mainland Europe via Sony BMG on November 28th 2008. This will include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Poland.
The bands second album (currently in the writing stages) will also be released by the awesome German label best know for breaking acts such as NIGHTWISH, LORDI and KREATOR.

Here's the official statement from Drakkar label boss, Marius Kopec:

"MY MINDS WEAPON are among the new league of British metal acts which impress their audience with demanding artistic standards, intelligent lyrics and amazing perfection. MY MINDS WEAPON’s music is sinister, oppressive, technical and i was instantly wowed by their brutal mix of tech metal and metalcore in combination with a tremendous atmospheric density."
