NC vocalist PHIL W. quits the band.
Monday 7th December 09
BASICK RECORDS are sad to announce that due to health issues, long serving and talisman-like vocalist PHIL W. has decided to leave UK Tech-Metallers,
NO CONSEQUENCE.
Here’s what Phil himself had to say on the subject:
“
I want to make sure that people understand I'm leaving the band on the best terms possible - a health problem is holding me back from being the super dedicated vocalist the band needs to keep growing and building on the success of 2009. I love NC, they've been one of the biggest parts of my life for close to 5 years now and every time I look at my NC tattoo I think of the times we've spent together and our achievements! I honestly love the band like family, I think of the guys as nothing less than brothers and I know that as the band continues to move forward without me - I wont lose contact with some of the best people in my life...
Everything we've achieved over the years wouldn't have been possible without a lot of help and support from some very important people, so I want to make sure I thank the following:
Basick Records - for doing more for No Consequence than I could in 4 years! Basick have a real sense of family and support which is extremely rare in music. I want to thank them for letting bands be themselves by not trying to take over, for taking a chance on NC and truly being some of the nicest guys in the industry who are doing it for the love of the music! They're an incredible label and they deserve to be making their way up into the big leagues.
James @ Invictus PR - for working so hard on promoting our album, for getting us press opportunities we'd never have dreamed of and for hooking us up with some incredible shows and memories!
Lisa from UKMU - who not only helped us out years ago when were small but continued that help and support once we grew to the point of releasing the album and afterwards, a true metal fan and a truly lovely person.
The Arusha Accord - for getting us into Basick's sights and affording us the opportunity that really got us out there... also for being amazing musicians, great guys and an inspirational band musically.
Steve Winter Custom Tattoos - the many hours drawing on me and Kaan with needles, looking forward to more ink!
The industry people who have gone out of their way to help us - especially:
Dom Lawson, Tim Newbound, Mark Wrigley@OneMetal, Maz Star and the rest of the guys at TotalRock, and everyone else who's interviewed us, photographed us and reviewed us. Metal Hammer, Rocksound, Kerrang, Terrorizer and all the other online people too!
I'm sure there's a million more people who I could thank in the industry but when it comes down to it NC wouldn't be where it is today without the fans - anyone who's shaken my hand after a show, bought a t-shirt/CD, come to a show, moshed, broken bones, travelled from other countries to see us... or told a friend to check us out, you guys are what music is about!
I hope that whoever takes over from me in NC realises what a special family they'll be joining and I am very much looking forward to watching NC continue to grow bigger and better.
With a very heavy heart, thank you and muchos metal love to everyone - Phil x”
NO CONSEQUENCE are devastated to be losing such a great friend and talented front man, but will now be actively searching for a replacement to fill the role of second vocalist with the band.
Any interested parties should contact the band directly at info@noconsequence.co.uk or check out the application criteria on the bands

Tom Hale leaves NC
Thursday 29th October 09
Long serving
NO CONSEQUENCE bassist Tom Hale, announces that he is quitting the band.
Here is a statement from the band and the man himself:
"
I wish to announce that November 3rd at The Cellar Bar will be my last gig. Unfortunately, it is time for me to leave No Consequence. With the bands progression and ambition, I can no longer give the commitment the band deserves. I have really enjoyed my time with NC, and I’m proud to have been part of it. I have enjoyed the evolution of the music and band since it all started, and the friendships formed along the way. I have been lucky to play alongside such great bandmates, past and present, and thank them all for the fun. It’s been a hard decision to make, I’m sure I’ll miss these times. However I do know it’s the right choice for myself and the band. I wish my friends in NC continued success and thank them for the time we've had. I wish luck to Tom who's taking over and I hope he enjoys this as much as I have. And finally - thanks to the fans for their continued support and hope this continues and grows! " -
Tom V1 NC says: "
We want to say thank you to Tom for all his contributions to the band over the past 4 years, as one of the founding members (before we even became "No Consequence") he has been instrumental in helping carve the bands journey so far and the music that we create! He will not be missed.... because we're not letting him go as a friend!! he's still stuck with us and we know that we'll be devouring pizza and drinking with Tom for years to come.
Tom is one of the nicest guys we've all ever had the pleasure of knowing and we have the greatest respect for his honesty about his future with the band! Thank you dude, we love you and we hope to see as many people as possible out on Tuesday November 3rd in Bracknell for Toms last show! So now we must welcome Tom V3, he's taking over on bass duty for NC... so here's a short statement from the man himself:"
"
When I was first asked to join NC I knew it was a great opportunity to spend time in enclosed spaces with five sweaty men, and it turns out they make some awesome music! Now i cant wait for my first show with NC at the mighty Hellfire Festival in Birmingham on Nov 8th, and the chance to further combine my love of metal and homo-eroticism... (P.S - I love crack)" -
