FS sign with SUMERIAN / VICTORY in the U.S.

BASICK RECORDS are stoked to announce that
FELLSILENT have signed to
SUMERIAN RECORDS for release in the US !
In what will develop into a multi album licensing deal, the band will see thier debut album '
The Hidden Words' released in the US early next year via
Victory Records Distribution with a full US tour lined up to supprt the album.
Sumerian was founded by TKO booking agent Ash Avildsen (who represents
CALIBAN, CARCASS, INTO THE MOAT, ION DISSONANCE, NAPALM DEATH and
VADER among others) and hosts some truly awesome bands such as
THE FACELESS, BORN OF OSIRIS and
VEIL OF MAYA among others.
Here's what Ash had to say about the deal:
"After hearing the first 40 seconds of FELLSILENT's song "Immerse" I knew there was something very promising about to happen. After hearing the rest of the song, I knew it was now my duty to get this band in front of as many people as possible.
I am very proud to announce FELLSILENT as the first overseas Sumerian Records band, and their style of metal is exactly what we started the label on: progressive, brutal, technical but still memorable with challenging but infectious rhythms and amazing uses of melody while still being heavy, dynamic and cutting-edge throughout real displays of songwriting.
Keep your eye out for FELLSILENT in North America, as we will be making sure to get these boys over here as soon as possible in 2009!"

BASICK RECORDS are pleased to announce the signing of one of the UK's most promising progressive Metal bands,
GEHENNA VII VII VIIIn a time where UK Metal bands are two-a-penny but quality prospects are few and far between,
GEHENNA VII VII VII stands as a genuinely unique proposition in an increasingly stagnant marketplace...
Forming in 2006 and focusing on solid song writing that provides precision rather than flashiness, they have quickly forged a reputation as a fearsome live band, gaining slots alongside established acts such as
ARCHITECTS and
BRING ME THE HORIZON, as well as being handpicked to support
HATEBREED by the bands front man Jamey Jasta, subsequently destroying a sold out
Oxford Carling Academy.
After a recent change in personnel, the band decided to knuckle down and retreat to the practice space in order to produce their most progressive material to date… Where once there was raw fury now stands controlled aggression; each member showing a greater understanding of their instruments and in turn branching into fierce, epic territories that built on their roots rather than severing them.
The newly recorded and self produced debut EP '

BASICK signs SHY OF THE DEPTH

BASICK RECORDS are chuffed to announce the signing of Brighton, UK based tech metal upstarts,
SHY OF THE DEPTH (www.myspace.com/shyofthedepth).
Combining technicality and groove with influences from the likes of
SIKTH and
PANTERA, the band recently recorded their debut EP with WellerHill Productions (Justin Hill and Dan Weller, formerly of SIKTH) after a direct invitation from the pair.
Although a relatively new band, SHY OF THE DEPTH are already building up a solid reputation by confirming upcoming shows with the likes of
MESHUGGAH (Thursday 4th September) and a full UK Tour with
MALEFICE throughout September '08.
