BASICK signs EVITA !

We're pleased as punch to announce the signing of the UK's hottest new Metal talent,
EVITA Combining the melodic and hardcore sensibilities of bands such as CIRCA SURVIVE and SHAI HULUD along with the straight out grit and edge of MISERY SIGNALS and UNDEROATH,
EVITA are set to make their indelible mark on the international Metal scene with the release of their as yet untitled debut album in Spring 2009.
The band will be shacking up with UK producer Chuck Creese (BURNING SKIES / SHADOW LAW / TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED) throughout December and January to lay down tracks for their much anticipated debut.

Emerging from the depths of
St. Louis USA, A DARK ORBIT brings you a ruthless and progressive sound only a few can tame. Forming in early 2008 and solidifying the lineup a few months after, ADO were quick to hit the scene. After just a few shows they were instantly recognized as a breath of fresh air to the stagnating US Hardcore / Metal circuit, and were quickly picked up as support for shows with
Emmure,
Born Of Osiris,
Architects and
Misery Signals.
Big things are planned for next year, starting off with the digital release of the incredible '
VOYAGER EP' on
January 12th, 2009.

BASICK RECORDS are stoked to announce that
MY MINDS WEAPON have signed to Germany's
DRAKKAR ENTERTAINMENT for release throughout Europe !
In a developing licensing deal between Basick an Drakkar the band will see thier debut album '
The Carrion Sky' released throughout mainland Europe via
Sony BMG on November 28th 2008. This will include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Poland.
The bands second album (currently in the writing stages) will also be released by the awesome German label best know for breaking acts such as
NIGHTWISH,
LORDI and
KREATOR.
Here's the official statement from Drakkar label boss, Marius Kopec:
"MY MINDS WEAPON are among the new league of British metal acts which impress their audience with demanding artistic standards, intelligent lyrics and amazing perfection. MY MINDS WEAPON’s music is sinister, oppressive, technical and i was instantly wowed by their brutal mix of tech metal and metalcore in combination with a tremendous atmospheric density."
